Prince George Nursery School: The Young Royal Will Attend Westacre Montessori School Nursery

The two year old will attend a Montessori school at the end of January.

Prince George is heading to nursery school! On Friday, Kensington Palace announced that the two year old will attend a Montessori school in Norfolk at the end of January. Conveniently, Westacre Montessori School Nursery is located on a private road near the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s home, Anmer Hall.

“We are looking forward to welcoming George to our nursery where he will get the same special experience as all of our children,” the nursery said in a press release.

The Montessori teaching approach emphasizes independence, creativity and letting children learn at their own pace.

According to BBC, it is not unusual that the little Prince will attend school with other toddlers his age. While the Queen was educated at home, both George’s grandfather Prince Charles and his father Prince William went to school.

Specifically, William attended Mrs. Mynors' Nursery School, located close to Kensington Palace, because his mother, the late Princess Diana, insisted he be exposed to other kids.

Prince George’s school announcement comes the same day Kensington Palace released a new photo of the Royal family, wishing everyone a merry Christmas.
