Calgary police release footage of 1 of 2 suspects in sex assault on woman

CALGARY — Police have released a video of one of two men they believe sexually assaulted and beat a woman in a Calgary parkade.

The woman was found severely injured at around 3:45 a.m. at a parkade in the 200 block of 6th Avenue S.W.

Security guards found the woman in one of the parkade stairwells.

The woman, who is in her 40s, was rushed to hospital in serious condition.

Police have released photos and CCTV footage showing a man wearing a black and grey backpack.

He is described as dark-skinned, between five feet six inches and five feet eight inches tall, with a slim build, wearing a toque, brown sweater, black jacket and blue jeans.

His jacket had fur around the hood and he was wearing runners.

A second man, possibly of Middle Eastern descent, was wearing a track suit and a red coat.

Police are asking anyone with information about this case or the people involved to call them or Crime Stoppers.
