It was a big year for the British Royal Family. Between the birth of a princess and the record-breaking reign of The Queen, the royals ruled the headlines this year.

But it wasn't all good news for the royal family. Childhood photos of the Queen giving what appeared to be a Nazi salute were published in Britain's Sun Newspaper, and after a BBC journalist falsely tweeted that the Queen had passed away, obituaries popped up online in her honour.
It wasn't just the British Royal Family that made headlines this year either. Japan's Prince Mikasa turned 100 on December 2, making him the oldest royal in the world. And 2015 also witnessed a few royal weddings, including Prince Carl Philip of Sweden to now Princess Sofia and Monaco's Pierre Casiraghi to heiress Beatrice Borromeo.
