Jaden Smith is about to break some major fashion boundaries.
The 17-year-old son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith has been announced as one of the stars of Louis Vuitton's spring/summer 2016 womenswear campaign, "Series 4," which features him wearing women's clothing.
Nicolas Ghesquière, creative director of the French luxury brand, shared the gender fluid photos on Instagram on Sunday, which sees Smith posing alongside Sarah Brannon, Rianne Van Rompaey and Jean Campbell.
Shot by Bruce Weber, the fashion-forward teen is featured in the campaign shots wearing a monochromatic skirt, leather biker jacket and a fishnet vest with tassels. The spring collection, which sees reality and fantasy become one, features cyber-inspired frocks that speak to a generation that is invested in the digital frontier.
Vuitton's pick isn't entirely surprising, however. Jaden's gender-neutral dressing has made him a young sartorial force within the fashion world and the "Future Of Music, Photography And Film Making" isn't afraid to take major wardrobe risks. Smith has been vocal about shopping for " clothes" and has been seen wearing everything from dresses to skirts on the streets. He even sported a dress to "Hunger Games" star, Amandla Stenberg's prom back in May.
Smith was also captured defending his style on camera, saying, "It’s all about creating, and dressing a generation, and helping a generation."
The addition to the campaign comes days after Ghesquière revealed pink-haired video game heroine, Lightning, from the 'Final Fantasy' series, as a "Series 4" model.
