B.C. Goalie Will Practice On A Puddle If It Means Playing Hockey

Some people will do anything for hockey.

Like Markus Stewart, a 12-year-old goalie from Abbotsford, B.C., who was spotted practising his puck-stopping moves on a frozen puddle on Dec. 30. (Watch above.)

Sherena Doerksen shot the video of Markus pretending to clear a puck, protect the five-hole, and make some sweet saves with his blocker last week.

Markus' mother Chris Stewart told The Huffington Post B.C. that he plays hockey every day, and dreams of tending goal for the Vancouver Canucks.

"Every year for Christmas he asks for goalie pads, and sticks and can’t wait for his brother to outgrow his gear so he can get the hand me downs," she said.

Molson Canadian runs an annual contest called #AnythingForHockey, asking fans to tell them how much they would do for the game on Twitter.

The prize is a chance to play on a gorgeous rink — which was built on a rooftop in Toronto for this year's campaign.

It's up to Molson to choose a winner. But there's a very good candidate right here.
