When a blue penguin was born a the Cincinnati Zoo on Friday Jan. 8 — the birthday of musicians David Bowie and Elvis Presley — zookeepers decided to name the animal after the ''Heroes'' singer, since they already had a penguin named "King."
"Bowie's" birth comes just as the zoo is currently celebrating 'Penguin Days,' while fans of the glam-rock singer are mourning his loss.
Bowie was 69 years old when he passed on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016, after an 18-month battle with cancer.
