Zoo Named Baby Penguin After Legendary Rocker David Bowie Before His Death

An unexpectedly timely tribute.

Legendary rocker David Bowie maybe gone, but his name will live on, including in the animal kingdom.

When a blue penguin was born a the Cincinnati Zoo on Friday Jan. 8 — the birthday of musicians David Bowie and Elvis Presley — zookeepers decided to name the animal after the ''Heroes'' singer, since they already had a penguin named "King."
