Did you know that Justin Trudeau is a fan of the Montreal Canadiens?
Oh, you didn't?
That marvelous picture comes to grace our eyeballs via Toronto Mayor John Tory's Twitter account. Trudeau was at City Hall on Wednesday to meet with Tory, who presented the prime minister with a Maple Leafs jersey.
Little did he, or we, know Trudeau would give us a gift: the gift of sock.
Of course, Trudeau wasn't just in Toronto to parade around colourful cloths that cover his feet. He announced the federal government will provide $20 million to the Centre for Commercialization of Regenerative Medicine to establish and run a stem cell therapy development facility.
