Using baby name data from U.S. Social Security Administration, PopSugar rounded up the top 10 most popular baby names over the past 100 years. Each of these monikers below were consistently popular from 1910 to 2010.
Interestingly, the top boys’ names over the past 10 decades were far more consistent than the top girls’ names. PopSugar notes that this is likely due to the tradition of fathers passing down first names to their sons, which is a less common practice among mothers and daughters.
