A Canadian Elvis impersonator ditched his white jumpsuit and donned the disguise of a Canadian In Winter (complete with ushanka hat) to parody cold weather strife in Manitoba.
Steinbach, Man. radio host and DJ Corny Rempel uploaded his parody of The Weeknd’s “I Can’t Feel My Face” to YouTube last week, lampooning the province’s short summers and the heartbreak of not being able to lick metal poles when temperatures dip below freezing.
Overnight lows in some parts of the province have been known to reach -40 C with wind chill.
“What’s it like to live in Manitoba in January? Watch this video,” Rempel wrote on Facebook, asking people to share the song with those who need “a giggle” about Manitoba’s notoriously brutal winters.
And yes, Corny is Rempel’s real name.
