Gigi Hadid Stars In Rumoured Boyfriend Zayn Malik's 'Pillowtalk' Video

*With benefits.

Last March, smouldering British bad boy, Zayn Malik, said buh-bye to the biggest boyband in the world, One Direction, and his four other bandmates.

The world has not been the same since.

As Zayn sat handsomely next to Kanye West at Louis Vuitton and Valentino's menswear show in Paris, his former band was breaking down, announcing a hiatus. And as the world mourned, Zayn was quietly recording his first non-1D album in a California forest and started pursuing one very gorgeous model.

Flash forward to Friday, when the "Bradford bad boy" dropped his highly-anticipated first solo single, "Pillowtalk," which was accompanied by a rather ~steamy and kaleidoscopic~ video. His co-star? None other than that It-girl supermodel, "good friend" Gigi Hadid.

A very "good friend," indeed.

With doe-eyed gazes into the camera, a blond-haired and bearded 23-year-old Malik sings the track's moody lyrics all while wearing an on-point bomber jacket as he makes out with the Chanel couture model. Hadid, who is seen smashing guitars and crying blood, wears a cut-out heavy black frock and a leather choker.

Yes, the video is A LOT. Especially seeing as Zayn claimed he and Gigi were, as we said earlier, "good friends" in an interview with Apple Music Beats 1's Zane Lowe on Thursday, proving something in all these dating rumours is pretty misleading.

But we have to admit, Malik couldn't have asked for a better leading lady. Hadid is a veteran when it comes to music videos: She sizzled in Miguel's "Simplethings" video, played a femme fatal in BFF Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" vid and even starred in Swift's boyfriend, Calvin Harris, summer smash "How Deep Is Your Love" clip.

But this isn't the first time the 20-year-old has starred in a boyfriend's music video. Remember Aussie crooner Cody Simpson's "Surfboard" vid? Yup, things got hot and heavy in that clip too. And this past summer, she co-directed ex-boyfriend's Joe Jonas' "Cake by the Ocean" video for his band, DNCE.

Our take from all this? Maybe Gigi's calling isn't the runway. Maybe, it's the music video.

Following the release Malik and Hadid took to Twitter to exchange a pair of flirtatious tweets making us question everything yet again.

Consider us very confused.

Watch the video above to see all the steaminess go down.
