Kate Middleton To Give First Televised Interview Since Marrying Prince William

Like a solo interview with Kate, for example.

The Queen turns 90 this year, and the entire royal family is getting ready to celebrate.

The palace promises the event will be an affair to remember, with a weekend full of events including the annual trooping of the colour ceremony and a Patron's lunch street party, in which lucky ticket holders will join Princes William and Harry in the royal box, ITV reports.

And it's not just the events we're excited about. ITV is also producing a two-hour film about the Queen's life which will include sit-down interviews with members of the royal family, including the Duchess of Cambridge's first solo television interview.

The 34-year-old Duchess's last televised interview took place in 2010, when she and Prince William sat down with Sky News to talk about their engagement.

Since marrying Prince William in 2011, the Duchess has only spoken publicly a handful of times, the first of which was in 2012, when she nervously gave a speech at the East Anglia Children's Hospice. That same year, the Duchess gave her first speech on foreign soil with Prince William by her side.

Most recently, the Duchess filmed a video message for Children's Mental Health Charity Place2Be, a cause she wholeheartedly supports.

Last month, Kensington Palace announced the Duchess will be guest editing the U.K. edition of The Huffington Post for a day in February. The Duchess intends to put a focus on children's mental health during her time as guest editor.
