Eli Manning Explains His Face At The Super Bowl Game

Turns out he was just nervous.

UPDATE:Eli told Splash News Monday that he looked bummed because he was nervous.

"I was just focused on whether they'd go for two and the defense had to step up and make some stops," he said.

Sometimes, as hard as you try, you can't be happy for your siblings.

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning was caught on camera looking more than a bit bummed when older brother Peyton's team scored the winning touchdown in Sunday's Super Bowl.

The Denver Broncos had a 14-point lead with three minutes left, and the CBS cameras panned to Manning's family in the stands for their reaction. While the rest of the crew celebrated, Eli looked, well, sad.

The New York Post points out that Eli has sported this expression before during some bad moments, so it's possible he was just worried for his bro. Or, he didn't want to lose his place as the family's golden boy.

Peyton now joins his little brother as a two-time Super Bowl winner, but the elder insisted that the two don't compare rings, according to CBS.

"We don't do that, that's not what we do. Maybe you guys, your brothers do that, that's not what we do," he said.

Also, Peyton has hinted at retiring soon, so Eli may still have a chance to break the tie.

But Twitter quickly jumped on the footage of the apparent poor sport.

To his credit, the famed cheapskate took his brother out for dinner a few days ago, and covered the bill, NJ.com reports.

Still, his expression is priceless. What do you think? Was he nervous or jealous?
