Separate Hochelaga-Maisonneuve stabbings send two men to hospital

Montreal police are investigating two separate armed assaults in the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough Wednesday night.

Investigators say a 47-year-old man was stabbed in an apartment on Chambly Street around 8 p.m. 

A 24-year-old woman was arrested near the scene a few minutes later and taken into custody for questioning.

A few minutes later, around 8:30 p.m., a 62-year-old man was stabbed in an apartment on Bourbonniere Avenue near Ste-Catherine Street.

Police arrested a 37-year-old woman a short time later and she's being questioned in relation to the incident.

Both the victims were taken to hospital and police say they're lives are not in danger.
