OH BABY, BABY!
Britney Spears is back on newsstands after a long absence from the magazine world with not one, but three covers for V magazine's 100th issue. The 34-year-old, who was shot by Mario Testino, looks like a 2001 version of herself and we are screaming with nostalgia.
Wearing a Balmain bodysuit equipped with a garter belt and stocking, Spears, who hasn't covered the glossy since 2001, gives the camera a sultry gaze as she pouts her nude lip and flaunts a dramatic cat eye. As for her iconic blond locks, the mother of two rocks a tousled half ponytail.
"When looking for cover worthy subjects for our 100th issue, we had to ask ourselves, Who do pop stars and musicians — who have become an integral part of what V represents — look up to and admire?" writes editor-in-chief Stephen Gan. "There was only one answer: Britney! She has entered icon status, and who in our world did not grow up listening to her music?"
Bit Brit, who is currently performing to sold-out crowds at her Vegas show, "Piece of Me," is said to be working on her ninth studio album, which we're obviously incredibly stoked about.
The issue, which is said to include a "mini-retrospective" of the magazine, wlil hit shelves on March 8th.
