Brampton house fire sends 2 to hospital, 1 in critical condition

Two people were rushed to hospital, one in critical condition, after a house fire in Brampton on Wednesday night.

The fire broke out at a home on Thomas Street, near Main Street North and Queen Street East, around 7:30 p.m.

Paramedics said they treated three people. The two victims who were taken to Brampton Civic Hospital were treated for burns and smoke inhalation. One is listed in serious condition while the other is in critical condition.

The third victim suffered minor injuries.

It's unclear what caused the fire at this time.

Emergency crews remain on the scene.
