The NHL unveiled the eight hockey sweaters that will be worn by teams competing in the World Cup of Hockey this fall in Toronto.
The eight teams competing are Canada, USA, Finland, Russia, Sweden, Czech Republic, Team North America and Team Europe.
As can be expected, the team Canada sweater is red, with white maple leaf arms and features a sharp and clean artistic design of the maple leaf in the centre of the chest.
Rather than taking a symbolic approach like with Canada, team USA's navy blue sweater features a distinct crest of "USA" in the centre of the chest with red bands around each elbow.
The tournament will also feature an under-23 North American team consisting of players from both USA and Canada that will place No. 1 and No. 2 draft picks Connor McDavid and Jack Eichel on the same team.
While team Europe is made up of players selected from any European country except for Finland, Russia, Sweden and the Czech Republic, each of which has its own team entered into the eight-team tournament.
