Celebrities Who Aren't Leaving Their Kids One Red Cent

There are certain perks that come with having celebrity parents, including a huge inheritance. But some famous figures have zero plans to share their wealth with their kids.

Elton John, for instance, recently admitted that his kids won’t be getting a cent of his estimated $380 million fortune. “Of course I want to leave my boys in a very sound financial state. But it's terrible to give kids a silver spoon. It ruins their life,” the father-of-two told Mirror UK.

The 68-year-old singer and his husband David Furnish have two sons: five-year-old Zachary and three-year-old Elijah. While they want to give their kids everything, they also want to teach them the importance of money and having a good work ethic.

“Listen, the boys live the most incredible lives, they're not normal kids, and I'm not pretending they are,” John continued. “But you have to have some semblance of normality, some respect for money, some respect for work.”

Furnish agrees: “The greatest joys — everything Elton and I have created — have come from hard work, and that's where your self-esteem comes from.”

John and Furnish aren’t the only celebrities who won’t be leaving their fortune to their kids. Flip through the slideshow below to find out who else won’t be leaving their kids a cent.
