Ten years ago, Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly delivered the only fashion quote that matters (not really, but just go with it): "Florals for spring? Groundbreaking."
But I mean, depending on how those florals were used, they can be. And if not florals, then trust me when I tell you that spring 2016 is an aesthetic feast and proof that while some of us (hello) may hate warm weather with every fibre of our being, certain trends can draw us out of our reverse-SAD and make not wearing a coat feel a little bit better.
So in the spirit of making Miranda Priestly less cynical, here are the looks that will embody the groundbreaking-ness she was so longing for. And yes, I’m aware that she’s a fictional character. And no, that doesn’t affect my angle at all.
