While we still have cooler days ahead of us, you can start experimenting with trends seen on the recent fall/winter runways before the arrival of spring and summer's warmer weather (because why not?!) And we're already seeing some incredible curvy babes who are ahead of the game and rocking the fall 2016 trends. Check them out below for inspiration on how you can pull off these trends, too:
Oversized, contrasting colours and mixed textures — nothing seemed to be out of the question in the collar game on the fall/winter 2016 runways. There were contrasting fur collars seen in Topshop Unique, Paul Smith, Roksanda, Gareth Pugh and Christopher Kane's collections. On the other end of the spectrum was Erdem, featuring a delicate crochet collar.
Monochromatic looks were really hot on the runways for fall/winter 2016. The one colour trend that stood out was the all-red look. Blumarine had a feathered red ensemble, Moschino featured a stunning ornate gown with burned edges, and Gucci even paired two red tones together.
Mixed prints have been on the rise for the past little while, and were still going strong on the fall/winter 2016 runways. Marni did an exquisite job of pairing a bold patchwork print with a delicate black and white leaf print, and Prada even did print blocking on a single skirt.
Colourful Faux Furs
Colourful furs are back this season, and they have become even more vibrant! Versace featured a fur in a neon print, and Fendi, a house known for its furs, showcased a colourblocked fur coat with contrasting prints on the body and an oversized collar.
The Sparkly Side
Nothing shiny was left out of the collections for fall. We saw a diverse showing of glitter, sequins, paillettes and even tinsel. Dolce & Gabbana had gorgeous gowns covered in pink paillettes, like the one Kate Bosworth wore to the Golden Globes. We also saw the more delicate side at Robert Cavalli with a sheer gown embroidered with glitter details, and Versace used sequins in a neon print.
