John Legend Tweets About Donald Trump Jr.'s 'Racist Father'

We're guessing Trump doesn't have his vote.

John Legend and Donald Trump Jr. definitely don't see eye-to-eye on Trump's father.

The R&B singer took aim at the Republican frontrunner's son, Donald Trump Jr., on Twitter Friday night.

Donald Trump Sr. cancelled his Chicago rally Friday amid tension and safety concerns among supporters and protesters. Trump's Jr. posted a tweet commenting that protesters didn't know why they were protesting.

Bustle reports that major U.S. news outlets, including CNN, USA Today and the Chicago Tribune, did not feature any interviews with protesters that matched Trump Jr.'s claim in their coverage.

Legend wasn't about to let Trump Jr.'s commentary go unchecked. The Grammy and Oscar winner responded plainly, tweeting, "I think they were protesting your racist father."

Trump Jr. shot back:

One Trump supporter called Legend's education into question, which Legend shut down:

Legend and both Trumps graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, one of eight Ivy League schools.

From there, the Twitter storm raged on:

Not surprisingly, Mrs. Legend (otherwise known as supermodel Chrissy Teigen) has her husband's back.
