WINNIPEG — The Manitoba New Democrats are promising to double the number of community clinics if the party is re-elected April 19.
Leader Greg Selinger says the NDP would build eight new QuickCare clinics and extend operating hours across the province.
He says that would mean families could get the health care they need day or night.
The eight clinics already standing are staffed by nurse practitioners and registered nurses.
Selinger says Conservative Leader Brian Pallister would cut front-line services in health care in his party's quest to fine hundreds of millions in so-called efficiencies.
He says corporate giveaways promised by the Liberals also mean there would be less money for health care.
