Driver in Rosemont-La Petite Patrie hit-and-run sought by police

Montreal police are looking for the driver in a hit-and-run in the Rosemont-La Petite Patrie borough.

It happened on d'Iberville Street, near Holt street, at around 8:30 p.m on Thursday.

Montreal police Const. André Leclerc says a driver heading north on d'Iberville struck two other vehicles, then left the vehicle and took off on foot.

"He collided with the back of the vehicle in front of him," Leclerc said.

"After this first collision, the car changed lanes and went head-on in traffic coming toward him. So he collided with another car."

Leclerc says a woman and a one-year-old baby in the first vehicle were not hurt, but were taken to hospital as a precaution.

A man in the second vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Leclerc says police are looking for a Dodge Ram pickup truck.

He says they are also looking into whether the suspect vehicle may have been stolen.
