Montreal police reopen missing child case dating back to 1979

Police are reopening a missing person's case dating back to 1979.

Lorraine Legault was three years old when she went missing in Montreal's Mile End district, on June 25, 1979.

Montreal police say they have just received information prompting them to update the missing person file.

They are also distributing a composite sketch of what they believe Legault would look like now.

The toddler lived on Jeanne-Mance Street just above Fairmount Avenue.

Police say they were contacted recently by a U.S. police force to inquire about Legault's file.

Anyone with information about the disappearance is being asked to contact Info-Crime at (514) 393-1133.
