SNC-Lavalin cuts 950 jobs

SNC-Lavalin has trimmed its workforce.

The Montreal-based engineering giant cut 950 jobs in the last two months of 2015, company spokesman Louis-Antoine Paquin confirmed Friday.

Paquin said 600 positions were cut in Canada. He wouldn't give an exact number for Quebec.

The company employs roughly 40,000 people worldwide and 12,000 in Canada.

Paquin said no further cuts are imminent.
