Transit Police and motorcyclist collide, 1 sent to hospital

A motorcyclist was sent to hospital with minor injuries after a collision with a Transit Police cruiser early Friday morning, according to Vancouver Police.

The crash happened near the intersection of Shaughnessy Street and West 70th Avenue just before 1:30 a.m.

The male rider was taken to Vancouver General Hospital shortly after the crash to be treated for wounds to his leg.

It's not clear who was at fault, but the officer driving the Transit Police cruiser remained on scene to assist Vancouver Police with the investigation.
