CALGARY — The Calgary Flames have signed prospect Andrew Mangiapane to an entry-level contract.

The 19-year-old left-winger scored 51 goals for the Barrie Colts this season to finish second in the Ontario Hockey League.

The Flames drafted the five-foot-10, 177-pound native of Bolton, Ont., in the sixth round, 166th overall, last year.

Mangiapane led the OHL in short-handed goals with eight and finished sixth overall in points with 106.

He has eight goals and nine assists in 20 career playoff games with the Colts, who open the 2016 OHL post-season Thursday night at home against Mississauga.
