Drug raids lead to 4 arrests on South Shore

Police on Montreal's South Shore arrested four suspects in an alleged drug trafficking ring Thursday morning.

Officers from the Longueuil and Richelieu–Saint-Laurent police forces are now targeting five homes and five vehicles, including a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Two of the homes are in Longueuil and the others are in St-Bruno, Saint-Basile-le-Grand and St-Hubert.

"We are looking mainly for cocaine and of course we are always looking for things like money, cell phones and stuff like that when were doing these kinds of raids," said Longueuil police spokesperson Tommy Lacroix.

Lacroix said police will know the exact quantity of drugs seized later today.

The suspects are between the ages of 45 and 68 and police do not believe they are connected to organized crime.

They are expected to face drug possession and drug trafficking charges.
