Unity, Saskatchewan Hockey Game Erupts In Massive Fight

Fans were "exchanging words throughout the game.''

SASKATOON — Mounties are investigating after a video was posted on Facebook of people fighting in the stands at a senior men's hockey championship in Saskatchewan.

The Biggar Nationals played the Wilkie Outlaws on Tuesday night in Unity for the championship game of the Sask West Hockey League.

The league is a senior men's hockey league with teams in west-central Saskatchewan.

The Outlaws won and as the game ended, a brawl broke out in the stands.

Nick Wourms of Saskatoon took video of the melee on his cellphone and says fans were "exchanging words throughout the game.''

RCMP say there have been no reports of injuries and they have received no complaints, but they are investigating.
