Brampton, Ont. Rapper Rajan Makes One Catchy Anthem For The Toronto Raptors

"Take a seat and enjoy the Masai Ujiri show."

The Toronto Raptors are heading to the playoffs and for all of you fans (and bandwagoners) out there in dire need of some good pump up music, this Brampton, Ont. rapper's video is the answer.

Rajan Gahunia, who goes by Rajan, put together a 2:34 minute "Northside Since 95'" anthem that has everything to do with basketball, Toronto and of course, the team's global ambassador, Drake.

"I've been watching [basketball] ever since I can remember. My father is a big Raptors fan as well, and he used to take me to games," the 21-year-old student tells The Huffington Post Canada. "He enrolled me in a Vince Carter basketball camp when I was younger, so watching the Raptors has always been a part of my life."

Calling out players like DeMar DeRozan, Kyle Lowry and fellow Torontonian Cory Joseph, Rajan says the song took him a week to put together and three days to edit after shooting the video at school.

During a meet-and-greet autograph session with DeRozan in Scarborough, Ont., Rajan says he got to play his rap in front of the basketball player.

"I brought a speaker in my hand and as it came my turn, I didn't ask him for a signature, [but instead] played the entire second verse for him," he says. "He asked if it was me, and I told him it was. He responded 'amazing man, good luck with that' and gave me a handshake."

Rajan says DeRozan even retweeted his music video, adding it was a "great feeling."

Ending their season 56-26 (a new franchise record) on Wednesday, Canada's only basketball team will face the Indiana Pacers at 12:30 p.m. EST on April 16.
