Smoke's Poutinerie And YouTuber Josh Elkin Create Epic Stanley Cup Poutine

This is fitting.

Although no Canadian teams made the NHL playoffs this year, it doesn't mean you can't celebrate with your own Stanley Cup.

Smoke's Poutinerie ditched the usual fanfare and teamed with Canadian YouTuber Josh Elkin to create an epic Stanley Cup-inspired poutine.

Elkin, also known as Epic Mook, constructs the trophy after carefully carving, finessing and then building a tower of potatoes.

The potato-cup is then fried and topped with cheese curds and gooey gravy.

But does it taste good, though?

The FoodTuber must have learned at lot in his time with Epic Meal Time. The Canadian YouTube food show is famous for it's rather gluttonous creations, like fast food lasagna.

He's not alone, Smoke's is also fond of the odd combos. In celebration of Easter, the Toronto-based franchise proposed an interesting mash-up — deep-friend creme egg and bacon poutine.

And hey, even if it doesn't feel like hockey season for Canada anymore, the Toronto Raptors and the Toronto Blue Jays are playing this weekend — so yes, it's a pretty good excuse to eat some poutine.
