'Project Runway' Contestant Angela Sum Launches Bag Collection On Kickstarter

It's so good the Kickstarter got funded in 7 hours.

Ladies (and gents): think about how many bags you have in your closet at this very moment.

If you're like us, you probably have a backpack, a duffel, a small purse, a tote, a crossbody and a clutch. You also probably constantly switch between bags, depending on what you need to carry, where you're going, and what will match your outfit.

But what if you could eliminate all of these and replace it with one, stylish and functional handbag?

Well, Angela Sum is ready to make that happen.

The engineer-turned-'Project Runway' contestant has just launched a line of sculpted bags on Kickstarter that are meant to "elevate your wardrobe and inspire creative living."

And get this — she already hit her goal in SEVEN hours.

So what makes these āsum bags so great? Well for one, they truly are functional. The REVE style is made of water-resistant washed linen (perfect for those rainy days) and has interior pockets and holders for your personal belongings.

It can also easily be converted into three different styles: a cross-body, a tote and a backpack, and comes in two different sizes.

Then there's the design — minimalist and subtle, yet still something that will have your friends wondering where you got the bag. According to Sum, the bags have been "sculpted and draped to embody the abstract, free-spirited nature" of the dreams that brought her to her current role as a designer.

And the REVE isn't the only offering in the collection — also for sale is the YUME, a draped linen circle tote, the LOGO WRISTLET, a washed cotton canvas pouch clutch and our personal fave, the MAYA, a purse clutch. Each bag comes in four colourways: light gray, washed jade, warm gray and charcoal.

The YUME.

The LOGO WRISTLET.

The MAYA.

Consider us sold.
