Victoria's Secret May Axe Its Swimwear Line And Its Iconic Catalogue

Womp, womp.

Looks like we'll no longer be able to buy bikinis at Victoria's Secret.

According to Buzzfeed News, the lingerie giant will be discontinuing its swimwear lines, and will be touting its activewear instead.

The news was reportedly first announced earlier this month, when the chain said that it would cut more than 200 jobs and "eliminate 'certain merchandise categories' (with swim being one of them) at Victoria's Secret as part of a plan to focus on 'core' goods," according to Buzzfeed.

And while we may think swim was a huge part of VS, especially with the "Swim Specials" and, well, our personal love for the bikinis and monokinis offered by the brand, former Victoria's Secret CEO, Sharen Turney, said the category "has been my biggest disappointment, and we did it to ourselves" during a conference call with analysts on L Brands’ second-quarter earnings last August.

And that's not the only thing Victoria's Secret is nixing — they will be reportedly phasing out their iconic catalogues as well.

We guess we'll just have to see the Angels on screen and on Instagram instead!
