Leafs prospect Mitch Marner named OHL most outstanding player

Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Mitch Marner is the Ontario Hockey League's most outstanding player this season.

The London Knights forward captured the Red Tilson Trophy after finishing third in league scoring with 39 goals and 77 assists in 57 games.

Marner, who turns 19 later this week, was selected fourth overall by Toronto at last year's NHL draft.

In 184 career games with the Knights, he has collected 96 goals and 205 assists.

The Tilson Trophy is named in honour of Albert (Red) Tilson, a former scoring champion who was killed in action during the Second World War.
