Toronto's Melissa Pagnotta will represent Canada in taekwondo at this summer's Rio Olympics.
Pagnotta will compete in the under 67-kilogram division.
A Pan Am and Commonwealth Games champion, Pagnotta will be making her Olympic debut.
"I have been training hard and will do my absolute best to make Canada proud as I take on the world's toughest competitors in Rio," said Pagnotta.
Canada has won two Olympic taekwondo medals — Karine Sergerie's silver at Beijing in 2008 and Dominique Bosshart's bronze at Sydney in 2000.
The Rio Olympics open Aug. 5.
