The Arkells' new music video - for their song entitled "Private School" - takes a jab at people who don't recognize privilege, mainly those who are born into it.
Lead singer Max Kerman shared his experiences in Ontario's public school system with HuffPost Canada.
"I wanted to write a song about people who are sort of born into really good fortune..." said Kerman. "[People] who are lucky to have parents who have been able to sort of provide the world for them but lack any sort of self-awareness for their good fortune."
"I have pride in the idea of a good education for anybody, so that's sort of where the initial seed for the song came from."
In 2013, around 338,000 students attended 1,900 private schools across Canada, according to a report from the Globe and Mail.
And it can be pricey. The annual tuition for these schools can range anywhere from $6,000 to $30,000 and that's excluding boarding fees that can range between $15,000 to $30,000 a year.
