David Beckham Is Launching A Men's Skin Care Line With Biotherm In 2017

The retired soccer star will be launching a men's skin care range with Biotherm come 2017.

David Beckham has been tapped to be the face of Biotherm's men's line, which will include a new skin-care collection co-created by the global style icon.

In addition to fronting the brand's Biotherm Homme brand including their best-selling Aquapower Gel moisturizer and Force Supreme range, Beckham will help develop a new grooming and skin care line, reports WWD.

"I’ve been thinking about developing a skin-care range for a long time and it wasn’t until I started speaking with Biotherm that it all came together," Beckham said in a statement.

Biotherm general manager, David Fridlevski, added, "It's the first time a male celebrity of this stature has developed a skin-care collection."

WWD reports the collection will consist of eight to 12 skin care and body products, all retailing under $50. Fridlevski says Biotherm Homme hopes to attract men between the ages of 25 to 25 who "lead active lives and have specific needs for their skin from protection to extra moisture."

This isn't the first beauty collaboration for the former professional soccer player, who has gone on to parlay his fame into a plethora of endorsement deals worth more than a hundred million over the years. In 2005, Beckham partnered with Coty to launch his first fragrance Instinct.

The Biotherm Homme collection is set to hit market in 2017.
