A 30-year-old Siamese named Scooter is officially the world's oldest cat.
Guinness World Records crowned the kitty, which hails from Mansfield, Texas, with the title this week. He doesn't look a day over 20!
Born March 26, 1986, Scooter has done and seen a lot in his long life. His owner, Gail Floyd, has had him since he was born, and the two have partaken in many adventures together.
The secret to his long life (and youthful looks)? Travel and lots of activities. Scooter has visited 45 U.S. states with Gail and spends lots of time riding on his owner's shoulder. "He likes to see new places and he likes people," she told Guinness World Records.
According to Gail, Scooter wakes her up every morning at 6 a.m., "talking" and jumping around.
Despite his high energy and strong lust for life, Scooter hasn't gone through his nine lives without some setbacks. When he was only four weeks old, he lost his mother and in 2014, he broke his leg and has been undergoing testing and treatment since then.
That hasn't brought him down though. "Scooter is quite an amazing cat, with a strong will to live," his veterinarians said.
Guinness says the oldest cat ever was Crème Puff of Austin, Texas, who lived 38 years and three days.
