In Toronto, Spokehaüs is the northern equivalent of the popular American chain that was made trendy by celebrity fans like Alessandra Ambrosio, Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga and First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama. Make no mistake, this is no ordinary spin class. Think of it more like a dance class ... but on a bike.
Riders spend the majority of this class peddling while standing, but instead of just riding tall, their hips, shoulders and sometimes even hair gets in on the groove.
It's what owner and lead instructor Christine Tessaro refers to as a high intensity, low-impact full body workout. And she isn't kidding — thanks to the addition of hand-weights, every bit of your body is targeted during this indoor cycling class.
