John Tory has found his inner firestarter.

The Toronto mayor posted a screengrab of a letter to CBS Sports' chairman Tuesday after the network didn't list the Toronto Raptors in an online poll asking who would win the NBA title. In the team's place was "other."

Fans of the Raptors were livid. The hashtag #WetheOther quickly took off, a cheeky spin from the team's "We the North'' marketing campaign. CBS Sports later clarified the poll's options on Twitter, saying that it was posted before the Raptors had made it to the Eastern Conference finals.

"I thought I would write to you about the questionable value represented by your poll on the most likely winner of the NBA Championship," Tory wrote to chairman Sean McManus.

"We're not the slightest bit offended. In fact, we're accustomed to being underestimated. Just a few days ago LeBron James said he was looking forward to playing the Heat — a team that is now golfing."

Tory's brutality didn't end there. "Dwyane Wade thought he could take practice shots during our national anthem. Well we showed him how we feel about that," Tory said, referring to the Raptors crushing Miami on Sunday.

"Please don't hesitate to have your people call my office to get prime camera positions for the parade after the Toronto Raptors win the NBA Championship," the mayor wrote.

"We will mark their space as 'other.'"

A natural reaction to Tory's letter.
