Ammunition, equipment, uniform items stolen from two RCMP cars in Alberta

AIRDRIE, Alta. — RCMP are investigating the theft of ammunition, pepper spray, handcuffs and other equipment from two police cars in southern Alberta.

Mountie say three magazines containing a total of 45 bullets were stolen.

Other gear taken from the cars parked at a Ramada hotel in Airdrie included RCMP uniform items.

The Mounties were heading home to British Columbia after helping deal with the wildfires in Fort McMurray.

Police are asking people with information to call the Airdrie RCMP detachment.
