Prince William might call the Duchess of Cambridge "darling," but her nickname for him is a lot less formal.
According to the Daily Mail, the Duchess called her husband "babe" at the Chelsea Flower Show last week. Australian landscaper and Television Host Charlie Albone recalled the moment on Britain's "Channel 9 Today Show."
"He came up and said: 'What [flower] is this one?', and I replied: 'That's a Buxus,'" Albone noted of his interaction with Prince William before adding, "Princess Catherine just turned to him and said: 'Babe, we've got those. We've got loads of those.'"
If hearing poised and proper Catherine of Cambridge call her husband "babe" in public sounds off to you, you aren't alone. "Today Show" host Lisa Wilkinson seemed just as surprised asking Albone, "Kate actually called him 'babe' did she?" to which Albone insisted that she did indeed call him "babe."
While the Duke's very British nickname for Kate gives us #relationshipgoals, "babe" reminds us just how normal the Duke and Duchess can be.
