Pope Francis Meets Beauty Vloggers At The Vatican, Compliments Their Work

He says their work helps "neutralize aggression."

Turns out Pope Francis is more like us than we thought!

On Sunday, the 79 year-old Argentine pontiff met with a group of YouTube personalities, including beauty vloggers Louis Pentland of Sprinkle of Glitter and Dulce Candy Ruiz of Dulce Candy. And it looks like the pope was a fan of the influencers.

According to the Guardian, the pope told the group of YouTubers, "I am glad that you carry out the type of work you said, following the line of beauty, it’s a great thing. To preach beauty and show beauty helps neutralize aggression."

And he even posed for a selfie with the young crowd.

During the 50-minute meeting, the pope and the vloggers discussed everything from religious extremism to identity and immigration. He also advised the group to use their platform to help fans who may feel lost.

"You can create a virtual identity; you belong to this circle at least virtually. From that you can start taking a path of optimism and hope," said the pope.

Finally, Pope Francis thanked the vloggers for "giving me some of your youth as a gift."

Coolest pope ever? We think so.
