Penguins one win away from Stanley Cup championship with Game 4 win over Sharks

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Evgeni Malkin's second-period goal stood as the winner as the Pittsburgh Penguins moved one win away from a Stanely Cup championship with a 3-1 victory over the San Jose Sharks in Game 4 on Monday.

Ian Cole scored for Pittsburgh in the first period, Malkin found the back of the net on a power play in the second and Eric Fehr scored in the third as the Penguins took a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Melker Karlsson scored the lone goal for the Sharks.

Pittsburgh hosts Game 5 on Thursday.
