Amy Schumer has it all: A hit show on Comedy Central, an Emmy award, an upcoming headline comedy show at Madison Square Garden and a cute boyfriend she is totally in love with. Now, she can add a Vogue cover to that impressive resume.
For the fashion bible's July 2016 issue, the 35-year-old stand-up comedian, writer, actress and producer (oh, and soon enough we'll be adding author to that list) poses in a Hollywood glamour-inspired photo shoot for Annie Leibovitz in Central Park and at a comedy club.
Leibovitz, who partnered up with Schumer for both her May 2016 Vanity Fair cover and her Pirelli Calendar spot, captures the "Trainwreck" star in a off-the-shoulder scarlet red Dolce & Gabbana gown for the glossy's cover. With her voluminous blond hair placed to one side, Amy's makeup pops with her black lined eye and glossy red lip.
But when it comes to fashion, Schumer admits she is still unimpressed by industry. She even admitted to the iconic magazine that she was apprehensive about the idea of covering the issue because fashion is "not [her] thing."
"I just have this sense of entitlement that I should be able to feel comfortable at all times, like I could go to bed at any moment in what I’m wearing," Schumer tells writer Jonathan Van Meter. "I think that there’s a misconception in fashion that everybody wants in. I am very happy to remain out."
