Montreal Fixer Upper May Or May Not Have Been Horror Movie Set

We can neither confirm nor deny that Buffalo Bill is hiding in the basement.

A Montreal duplex is for sale and being marketed as a great opportunity for a renovation — which is a nice way of saying the place looks like it's straight out of a horror movie.

The home, located in Montreal's Pointe-Saint-Charles neighbourhood, is on the market for $449,000.

It's a 2,500 sq.-ft. property that would be the perfect backdrop for a movie like "Saw" or "The Silence of the Lambs."

The walls in the house are cracked, the ceiling tiles are strained, and debris is strewn everywhere.

Oh, and there's a basement to boot. No word on whether Buffalo Bill is hiding down there.

So, "fixer-upper" is a generous description.

Whoever buys the home could renovate, or turn it into a single-family property.

And while the inside needs serious work, the home is close to a park, a bike path, as well as elementary and high schools — so it's not all bad.
