Early Puberty: What Parents Should Know

While you can't necessarily prevent it, you can always be prepared.

As children grow closer to reaching their adolescent years, most parents are aware that the onset of puberty is near. But what happens if your child starts this development stage way before you anticipated?

While it may be a scary thought for many parents, early puberty – otherwise known as precocious puberty – is sometimes inevitable, and can occur in girls before age eight and in boys before age nine.
