Police in the U.S. are trying to leech off Pokemon Go's popularity to round up fugitives.
The Manchester Police Department in New Hampshire shared a post on Facebook to invite a "a specific number of people" to their station, where they can capture a Charizard — a rare catch in the game.
"If your name appears on the following list you are one of the lucky ones," reads the post, which includes a link to the department's wanted persons list.
Game has helped some cops
"Come down to the station to capture Charizard. Hurry before the Charizard leaves!"
The post has been shared more than 14,000 times, but unfortunately it wasn't very effective. Sgt. Eric Knight told Fox 8 that no fugitives have been caught yet.
The wildly popular app has helped some police departments, though. The Independent reports a man in Michigan who had a warrant for his arrest visited a police station, which was marked as a "gym" in the game.
