Calgary police charge man with threatening Crown prosecutor, probation officer

Calgary police are accusing a man of threatening a Crown prosecutor and a probation officer.

A Crown prosecutor alleges the threats were made at the courthouse on April 21 during an ongoing court case.

Police say the statements included personal information about the prosecutor.

A sheriff was called to the courtroom and justice officials called police.

In May 2016, a probation officer reported she had received numerous voice messages about abusive and intimidating behaviour towards her beginning in April from a man whose probation she supervised.

Troy Daniel Wouters, who is 40 and of no fixed address, is charged with two counts of intimidation of a justice system participant.
