AIRDRIE, Alta. — RCMP say they arrested a Calgary man with three young children in his van who was more than three times over the legal limit for alcohol.

Police say they responded Sunday night to reports of a Dodge Caravan being driven erratically down Highway 2.

A witness who called 911 said the van was being driven all over the road.

Mounties say a 46-year-old man has been charged with two impaired driving offences.

The children, all under 10, were returned to another family member.

Police did not name the driver.
